Marc’s interest in social justice started right out of college as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer for a community action agency’s mentoring program for women on public assistance. That experience led to Peace Corps service in Albania and subsequent work for a USAID-funded agricultural project there. After earning a Master’s degree he managed refugee projects in Afghanistan; leadership development and study tour programs in Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro; Somali refugee programs in Ethiopia and education/children’s camp projects in Guatemala.
Marc has spent most of his adult life living and working outside the United States and is excited to serve in the capacity of Director of Partnerships for JustHope in Nicaragua. Global citizenry and cross-cultural learning are the hallmarks of his life which he intends to share with JustHope partners before, during and after their trips.
