Byron Martinez is a scholarship recipient from La Flor, Nicaragua. In this video, he describes some of
the difficulties of growing up in Nicaragua. He was raised by his mother, along with his four siblings, on a coffee plantation. Sometimes they would have no backpacks and no shoes, only the desire to learn.
