Three partner groups of La Flor have returned from their annual PartnerTrips. They have been a part of significant community development - job growth, better access to education and so much more... They have been a part of growing a better understanding of what it is to be part of the same world while living in different countries.
In the rural communities where our Nicaraguan partners live, girls are less likely to stay in school through middle school, women are less likely to be employed and 50% of homes are run by single mothers. At JustHope, we are working very hard to change these statistics.

Teachers teaching teachers in Chacraseca; this is now a part of our partnership with the Ministry of Education in Nicaragua. Three times a year elementary (and sometimes high school) teachers, and other educators from the US, will be traveling to Chacraseca for a week of sharing methods, dynamics, and the love of teaching with the under-resourced and under-trained but deeply committed teachers in Chacraseca schools.
Community leaders in Chacraseca have been busy stuffing school supplies and uniforms into backpacks. And, Ricardo, recipient of a JustHope university scholarship, continues pursuing his dream to become a doctor.
