From 2008-2010, the entire community of Santa Emilia worked together with their project's founding partner and JustHope to complete a clean water system that serves all its residents.
They divided up the kilometers of water line ditches that needed to be dug and each familiy did their share of the digging! A crew of volunteers laid all the pipeline and the City built the cistern in which water is collected and funneled through the system. The water system is now self-sustaining!
